What does Karuna Mean?

From the Buddhist point of view, compassion or “karuna” in Sanskrit, is the wish to free all sentient beings from suffering. Hence, in line with this motivation of compassion, and at the request of Lama Khube Rinpoche, our Patron Ven Geshe Jampa Gyatso gave the center its name.
